Research shows the amount of time and content kids are exposed to on screens can have detrimental effects on development. My background in digital health and wellness can help you navigate the challenges associated with screen use. Creating healthy screen time routines, content restrictions, and exposure limitations can provide a balance for kids that will support overall health and well-being. We can work together to create a plan that will work for your child and your family. Screens do not have to rule the routine in your home. Finding balance is key and I am here to help you find it!


Healthy Leisure Coaching
Screen use has become a common form of entertainment in most households. Admittedly, they can be very helpful when busy parents are trying to be productive at home. However, we must continue to provide our kids with activities that stimulate development, learning, and socialization. Exploring opportunities for diverse leisure experiences for kids is a great way to encourage creativity! I complete comprehensive leisure inventories and surveys to identify your child's interests and talents. Then, I will identify resources and programming in your area to foster these interests. Together, we will create a plan that offers a variety of activities that cultivate creativity and confidence...without the use of a device!
Positive Peer Supports
Kids have been challenged in recent years to develop healthy social relationships. Screen use and pandemic factors have distorted normal social interactions for many kids. Some struggle to connect with other kids as they've not had opportunities to practice in-person social skills. Others are challenged to interact with peers in healthy ways due to emotional dysregulation and resiliency challenges despite their best efforts. Our kids need our help to learn healthy social interactions. This includes a number of skills such as initiating a conversation, using appropriate body language, and self-monitoring conversation content and reactions. My expertise in social participation can give your child the skills and confidence they need to thrive in a social environment.
